Lemonade
6 lemons
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/2 quarts water
Slice lemons in thin rings and place in porcelain or enamel container.
Add sugar and pound with a wooden mallet to extract juice.
Let stand 20 minutes and then add cold water and ice cubes.
Stir until well blended.
